Date

Index

Displays and/or sets the date on the computer's clock.

Syntax:

To display the current system date and prompt for a new one (default is the date displayed):
DATE

To set the system date without a prompt:
DATE date

Notes:

The default format for date is: mm-dd-[yy]yy
mm1 to 12
dd1 to 31 - so long as the number is appropriate for the month and year.
yy80 to 99 or 1980 to 2099

Valid separators between mm,dd, and yy, include periods (.), hyphens (-), and slashmarks (/).

The date format depends on the international settings established during set-up of Windows95
