These pages have been on the go for three years now and in that time I've received over 500 messages relating to this stuff. Of these:
- 20 to 30 have given advice on mistakes/omissions and for these I am most grateful;
- perhaps 50 have simply said "Thank you", and for these I am also very grateful (makes it all worthwhile!).
- most of the remainder have been technical questions on everything from how to set the jumpers on a hard drive to writing Doskey macros for homework.
Now, with some notable exceptions that have stuck in my inbox for longer than I care to think about, I have tried to answer all mail but I feel compelled to point out that I am not any kind of expert and that just about all I know about Dos is in these pages. If you should have some kind of computer related problem that you would like to discuss, I would urge you to post it to a relevant newsgroup (see Links) where you will most likely get a response far more quickly and from someone who knows what they are talking about.
Having said that, if you should have any comments or suggestions about the content of these pages please send them to Bob Watson (firstname.lastname@example.org) - I look forward to hearing from you!
